Day 7 - Wednesday - Tokyo and sayoonara :-(
We checked out some of the Japanese markets and temples this morning. This was really cool. Again a case of trying to take in so much, so quickly, there were many amazing things to buy and see and the temples' craftsman ship and artwork were truly breathtaking.
Some of the gang wanted to have Maccas for lunch, what are you nuts? They did though but I refused and Hiro took us to a great little noodle bar where sushi and sashimi were all the go. There is so much awesome food in Japan, I don't think I could ever get sick of it, and at $AUD9.50 for a Big Mac I couldn't afford too either!
Well back to the hobby shops after lunch, obviously, for a last minute spending spree before getting on the train back to Narita airport and then home to Oz.
It's great to be back but boy, that was a truly amazing experience, I don't think I'll ever forget it and for anyone thinking about entering the Tamiya Cup in the future, I would put what you have just read forward as a pretty damn good excuse to do so!
