Day 2 - Friday - Practice

The classes run were Rally, Touring Expert (past champions and invitees) Touring GT, F1-Lemans and Mini.

The first day was the practice day. Everybody got to run 7 by 6 minute practice sessions to tune and setup their cars. Practice batteries were supplied. Everybody was very fast, kinda scary!. These are the best non-factory drivers from many countries all around the world including, Japan, Europe, USA, Korea and Australia of course!

The surface is brand new carpet and although it was slippery at first the racing line soon developed and some fast laps were being done, I think, as there was no timing until the 7th run. Most of us were about mid field after the practice.

We were taken out to dinner to a funky little Japanese seafood restaurant, I love Japanese food and not afraid to try anything that is put in front of me, as long as it has stopped wriggling of course….

Plucka (Andrew Dore) was not so keen on the seafood but managed short work of the vegetables, if the rest of us wanted some we had to be darn quick.
