Here is my Mini setup that I use at
TFTR, Melbourne:
- Tamiya Sports Tuned motor (oil bushings regularly)
- Mini Cooper shell of course!
- HPI 'X' pattern tyres (with inserts that come with them)
- Kit shocks with very thick grease in the rubber friction tubes
- White springs on front
- Blue springs on rear
- Lower ride height as much as possible (depends on shocks)
ideally ~6 to 8mm
- 20 pinion
- 2 degree toe in rear up-rights
- Universal drive shafts
- Thick sway bars front and rear
- Ball bearing kit
- 0.5mm toe out at front
- I mounted the speedy and receiver internally at the back and routed the
wires for the motor and servo inside the chassis.
